The foundation was established by Theresa Adade Dadzie, a passionate student nurse with a strong commitment to child welfare and protection. She believes that every child deserves love, care, emotional support, and protection regardless of their background or circumstances.
Her experiences in both academic and clinical environments exposed her to the realities of child vulnerability, neglect, and abuse, which inspired her to act beyond the classroom. This led to the creation of the Afi Kess Child’s Foundation as a platform to advocate for children and support families and communities in building healthier environments for child development.
This conviction led to the establishment of the Afi Kess Child’s Foundation as a structured platform for advocacy, prevention, and community engagement. The foundation was created to respond to the needs of vulnerable children through targeted interventions that promote safety, dignity, and holistic development. Through its work, the Foundation focuses on strengthening families and communities by promoting awareness of child rights and protection, supporting caregivers with relevant education and resources, and encouraging environments that foster emotional, psychological, and physical well-being for children. It also seeks to collaborate with stakeholders to reduce cases of abuse and neglect while building sustainable systems that safeguard children’s development and future potential.
We aim to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, advocacy, community outreach, mentorship, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders while promoting child welfare and emotional well-being.
